Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026.

This site is published by Jacob Whitmore. It is a personal publication, and it is built to collect as little about you as possible.

What this site collects

  • There are no accounts, comments, newsletter sign-ups or contact forms, so nothing on this site asks you to enter personal information.
  • The hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent and pages requested) for security and operations. It keeps them under its own policies.
  • The site doesn’t set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The caching software that helps pages load quickly may set a small functional cookie for that purpose only.
  • I haven’t installed analytics on this site. If that changes, this policy will say so.

External links

Links on this site (for example to LinkedIn) take you to other services with their own privacy policies, which apply from the moment you arrive there.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data about you, including access, correction and erasure. Because this site holds no personal data about its readers beyond the host’s server logs, most requests are best directed to the host; for anything else, contact me. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If I add anything that processes personal data, such as a newsletter, comments or analytics, I’ll update this policy before it goes live.
