Anyone can claim they saw AI search coming. The test is whether they wrote it down first. This page is where I do that. Each prediction has the date I made it, a date it gets checked, and the evidence it will be checked against. On the check date I mark it right, wrong or inconclusive, and the row stays on the board either way. Wrong calls don’t get deleted or quietly reworded. The first two calls come out of my October 2026 crawler study and get checked in January 2027.
| ID | Made | Claim | Check date | Status | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| P1 | 2 Oct 2026 | On a re-run of the same ten UK newsbrands and the same 15 crawlers, at least 7 of the 10 will still block training crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot or Google-Extended) more often than they block the matching user-triggered fetchers (ChatGPT-User, Claude-User, Perplexity-User). | 2 Jan 2027 | Open | October 2026 crawler study |
| P2 | 2 Oct 2026 | Google-Extended will remain the least-blocked training token in the same ten-site sample. It was blocked by 5 of 10 on 2 October 2026. | 2 Jan 2027 | Open | October 2026 crawler study |
How a row gets marked: on its check date I re-run the stated check and mark the row right (the claim’s test met in full), wrong (not met; the row stays up and is shown in red) or inconclusive (the evidence can’t be collected, for example a site leaves the sample or a crawler token is retired), with a link to the evidence either way.
